And here comes Christmas……

So December is nearly here, everyone’s complaining about the big store adverts and its nearly the season to be greedy… I’m just wrapping up the last dozen or so gigs I have tour managing Jack Dee, which has been  terrific fun (he’s not quite as grumpy as you think. And very polite in real life. Ive actually made him laugh twice which I think is a record. But then he may have just been being polite). December sees the last Lass Vegas regular gigs with my lovely friend Marie Saunders, who is mega busy on Spotlight TV, her own solo career on the Irish country circuit which is going great guns, and her Nostalgia solo gigs.. I’m sure we’ll do the odd Lass Vegas special, but as a regular feature on the British Country circuit Lass Vegas is coming to an end after 10 years. However my Solo gigs are really picking up now and I have plenty of fun in store with Nadine Somers, my little sister from another mister in our Nadine & Rob duo which has gigs throughout the year. Also a few Nadine Somers Band shows where Nadine, myself and Bob Keeley re-live the trio days of the late 90’s, same songs same onstage larking about. But hopefully remembering more of it second time around.

Rich Hall’s latest incarnation of the Hoedown, Hoedown Deluxe hits the road again next February, with dates to be announced running through to June, including a month in Australia.. We also have a new double bass player in Nick Player, who may have been spotted playing for the Buddy Holly and the Cricketers tribute show at a theatre near you..

Merry Christmas shopping days to you all!

And another New Year begins..

New year began with a cracking new year’s eve show alongside Streamline at the Texas Moon CMC Rochester.. 2018 looks like I’ll be heading out Solo, with Marie as Lass Vegas, and a gig or two with Bob & Nadine as the Nadine Somers Band once again.. First of all the Rich Hall’s Hoedown tour resumes in February, hitting all points from The Shetland Isles to Cornwall… checkout Rich’s management website for more details.. see you out there soon!

Keepin’ busy keeping it Country.. and Comedy

Gigs continue to be wonderfully varied, the next Rich Hall’s Hoedown Tour starts September 13th at Hull Truck Theatre and runs all over the country until early December, and in addition not only are there Lass Vegas gigs with Marie Saunders, there are some fun duo gigs with Nadine Somers coming up at Snettisham Country Music Club and Brean Country Festival (at the Seagull Inn) but also the only Nadine Somers Band show of the year at Brean Pontins as well. Solo gigs are picking up well and are coming in from all over the country which is fantastic! See you on the road!

1005887_10151646962630095_855983462_n  Lass Vegas gigs include a few of our Countryville trio gigs, where we also get to play with our great keyboard players Stu Payne or Scott Newstead. With a different repertoire of traditional country music, new and old, these gigs are few and far between but always terrific fun.

nye-2010  Solo gigs are really picking up in number now, I’m really pleased to have been so well received in both Line Dance and traditional country music clubs. I’ve even performed at at few holiday camps now to a regular non-country crowd! I’ve added just the right material to cater for any of these events now and to be honest, though I love rocking a Keith Urban song I’m having just as much fun hearing everyone joining me in singing Rhinestone Cowboy or Dance The Night Away! Check out the contact details; Lass Vegas are now mainly working only in a reasonable distance from the South East due to Marie’s Keep It Country TV commitments on Sky TV, Freeview & Freesat, but I’m available solo Nationwide; in fact I’m really looking forward to a 5 date run in the North West in February. Hopefully more of that sort of thing to come soon..11222903_10153072863270095_4575367351873374917_n
